I’m getting out of academia now, but studied EDAT at the University of Warwick, before continuing and studying for a PhD.

Gutters & flow in them

This took a fair chunk of my undergrad 3rd year, along with the Summer afterwards.

• 3rd year undergrad project: flow in gutters and downpipes: lots of work and experiments, to show that the Manning formula works well enough for modelling the flow in gutters. Nice.
• The Optimum Sizing of Gutters for Domestic Roofwater Harvesting: more on gutters
• Sizing and optimally locating guttering for rainwater harvesting: and even more – this one was presented at a conference in Mexico.
